HLL Diagnostics Centre opened in Thiruvananthapuram

: Kerala Health Minister K K Shailaja, today inaugurated the HLL Lifecare Ltd's Hindlabs Diagnostics Centre and Specialty Clinic, set up here at a cost of Rs 10 crore, to provide quality healthcare at affordable costs.
The minister also inaugurated the Vaccine unit and distributed free health check-up cards to auto and taxi drivers plying today at the centre, located in the TRIDA Sopanam complex here.
Minister for Electricity and Devaswom, Kadakampally Surendran, opened the Specialty OP Clinics at the centre, that has a Tele-Radiology hub and a Pharmacy.
A Satellite Blood Collection Centre was also opened.
According to a national healthcare survey, Rs 2.9 lakh crore is spent on diagnostics and medicine annually.

The Public Sector Undertaking HLL, which has evolved from a contraceptive company to one that provides high quality healthcare at lowered costs, offers diagnostic services and medicines at prices up to 20 to 90 per cent lower than the Maximum Retail Price.
HLL Chairman and Managing Director R P Khandelwal, was among those who were present at the event.
