Former Haryana Chief Minister Bhupinder Singh Hooda today sought CBI probe into the death of 11 labourers after a retaining wall of a stone crusher collapsed at Dholera village in Mahendergarh district last week.
Hooda, while talking to reporters here said a CBI probe be announced into Dholera incident as to know who were responsible for the negligence and why the essential rules for safety of the lives of the labourers were "neglected".
Eleven workers died while 12 others were injured as the retaining wall at a construction site collapsed at Dhanaura village on August 7.
To a query, Hooda described BJP regime as a "ribbon-cutting government", saying it had belied the expectations of the people of Haryana.
He said ex-servicemen were crying for the implementation of one rank, one pension while the farmers were not getting fertiliser to be able to sow their crops.
Hooda said a dharna will be staged in support of the ex-servicemen at Gurgaon on August 14.
