Speaking at a function organised by Sir Chhotu Ram Memorial society here, Hooda said that Chhotu Ram, as revenue minister during the British rule, took important decisions in the interest of farmers and saved them from ruin.
Chhotu Ram not only awakened the feelings of self respect in the farmers, he also raised his voice against the injustice being meted out to labour class and other weaker sections.
Meanwhile, Hooda also said that reservation for the Jat community in government jobs has been announced in Haryana and the Centre is also likely to take such decision.
