Speaking at a programme organised here, Hooda said that the State Government has decided to give employment to total 135 land oustees of DCRTPP, out of which appointment letters had been given away to the dependents of 59 such oustees today.
The Haryana Cabinet, which had met here yesterday under the Chairmanship of Hooda, had decided to provide employment the 59 land oustees.
He said that employment would be given to them in different Power Utilities of the State--Haryana Vidyut Prasaran Nigam Ltd (HVPNL), Haryana Power Generation Corporation Ltd (HPGCL), Uttar Haryana Bijli Vitran Nigam Ltd (UHBVNL) and Dakshin Haryana Bijli Vitran Nigam Ltd (DHBVNL).
The Chief Minister said that land for the setting up of DCRTPP was acquired between the year 1983 to 1986.
"Though as per the policy that time, there was no provision to give employment to these land oustees, yet keeping in view the interest of farmers, the State Government has framed a special policy for providing employment to land owners whose land has been acquired for setting up of this power project," he said.
He said 514 people have so far been given employment in the Power Plants whose more than two acres of land had been acquired.
Principal Secretary Power, and Chairman, Haryana Power Utilities Devender Singh, Managing Director, UHBVN Anil Malik, Managing Director HPGCL M K V Rama Rao, were among others who were present on the occasion.
