A day after taking a dig at former Haryana Chief Minister Bhupinder Singh Hooda, state Health Minister Anil Vij today intensified his attack on Hooda.
If I were the Chief Minister, Hooda would not have been taking breath in free air, Vij told reporters.
The minister had tweeted yesterday, "Maine toh kabhi kuch banney ka socha nahein parantu yedhee mein CM hota to tera kya hota Kalia (I never thought of becoming anything, but if I was the Chief Minister then who would have saved you)".
He was replying to Hooda's earlier comment that he (Vij) had run for Chief Ministership but ended up as a "junior minister".
Vij also met family members of a woman who had died along with her new-born during delivery at Post Graduate Institute of Medical Sciences (PGIMS) in Rohtak on May 18.
He offered help of Rs 1 lakh to the bereaved family and assured them that the erring doctors would not be spared.
Neelam, a resident of Jind, was admitted to Obstetrician and Gynaecology department of PGIMS, Rohtak on May 14 who died immediately after giving birth to a child.
Vij also asked the PGI doctors on strike to resume work failing which strict action would be taken against them.
He alleged there were "possibilities of several scams" related to National Rural Health Mission (NRHM) during the 10 years of Congress rule in the state and he has written to the Chief Secretary to initiate an inquiry into this.
