Union Territory Chandigarh, the joint capital of Punjab and Haryana, braved hot weather at 39 degrees Celsius, two degrees above normal, a MeT department report said today.
Among other places in Haryana, Hisar recorded maximum temperature at 40 degrees Celsius while Ambala and and Bhiwani settled at 39.6 degrees Celsius and 37.6 degrees Celsius respectively.
Karnal and Narnaul registered their maximums at 35.6 degrees Celsius and 37 degrees Celsius respectively.
In Punjab, Amritsar experienced hot weather at 39.6 degrees Celsius, two degrees above normal while Ludhiana and Patiala had high of 39.6 degrees Celsius and 38 degrees Celsius respectively.
