Addressing a meeting of the state executive of the Congress here, Singh said organisational elections strengthen the party and it should be held regularly the enthuse the workers.
Interacting with the state Congress leaders, Shinde urged them to stand united and defeat the BJP in the upcoming Assembly polls, and asserted that there was no rift within the party in the state.
Addressing the meeting, state Congress chief Sukhvinder Singh Sukkhu alleged that it was becoming difficult to manage the party affairs.
Shinde is slated to tour various districts of the state this month and meet district and block-level workers ahead of the Assembly polls.
