HP govt completes digitising revenue records

The Himachal Pradesh government has completed digitising revenue records and implementing the Public Services Guarantee Act of almost all the revenue villages in the state.
Digitisation of Record-of-Right has been completed and made online for almost all 21,392 revenue villages in the state. Settlement operations are underway in those remaining, an official spokesman said.
Lok Mitra Kendras have been authorised by the state to issue copies of RoR with digital signatures, he said, adding work for digitising cadastral maps has been started.
To ensure better administration of the digital initiative, the state government has also opened nine Sub Divisional, 14 Tehsil and 29 Sub-Tehsil offices, the spokesman said.
He said computer centres have been established at the Tehsil, Sub-Division and District levels, and a State Data Centre has been set up here.
Computerisation of registration process has been completed in all Sub-Registrar offices. The process has been inter-related with RoR, the spokesman informed, adding valuation details of land has been uploaded on the Revenue Department's website.
The department has started issuing 14 types of certificates online under the e-district project, he said, adding patwaris, naib-tehsildars and tehsildars will provide seven services under the provisions of HP Public Service Guarantee Act.
These services are providing copies of revenue records, reports of issuance of various certificates, report of damages due to natural calamities, entry of mutation, issuance of certificate, attestation of affidavit and registration of mutation.
E-stamping system has also been rolled out Kinnaur and Lahaul-Spiti and e-court fee system has been implemented, he saod, adding stamp duty has been reduced to four per cent for women.
