HP plans Commission for welfare of poor from general category

During his budget speech in March, Chief Minister Prem Kumar Dhumal had announced to form the Commission and later the Cabinet had approved a proposal in this regard.

The Commission will make suggestions for the process to be adopted for identification of poor families of general category and recommend measures for their economic upliftment, the officials said.
