Union HRD Ministry has asked Delhi University to quickly initiate action to implement Choice Based Credit System (CBCS) for the new academic session.
In a new communication to the central varsity, the Ministry said "I am directed to reiterate the request of UGC to quickly initiate action to address issues which have strong bearing on proposed CBC system implementation and adoption of the Credit framework for Skill Development (CFSD) from 2015 academic session."
The ministry had earlier questioned Delhi University over its preparations for implementation of the Choice Based Credit System.
DU had formed a seven-member committee in December last year to work on the modalities for implementation of CBCS.
After the university cleared the proposal in its Academic Council last month, the Ministry had sought a clarification from DU Vice Chancellor Dinesh Singh about the arrangements in this regard and said it has not to be implemented in haste.
However, the new communication has again directed to expedite the process.
