"The last date for submitting views or suggestions has been extended up to 16th August, 2016," the ministry said in a statement.
The HRD ministry has put on its website a gist of several recommendations made by the committee headed by former Cabinet Secretary T S R Subramanian on which it has sought comments.
The entire report has also been put on the website of the National University of Educational Planning and Administration (NUEPA).
"Suggestions were invited from all on it till July 31, but we want that all MPs should also make their suggestions on the draft policy and we would be ready to accept them till August 15," Javadekar had told the Upper House.
