Hyatt Place eyes tier II, III cities

Global hospitality company Hyatt is looking expand its upscale Hyatt Place hotels to tier II and III cities across the country.
"We recently opened a Hyatt Place in Goa. As of now, we have four Hyatt Place hotels in India, no new ones have been announced yet. However, for expansion, Hyatt Place is mainly targeted for tier II and III cities pan India," Hyatt Place General Manager Goa/Candolim Sanjay Patti told PTI here.
There are 241 Hyatt Place hotels spread across countries like US, China, Costa Rica, Mexico, Morocco, Panama, Puerto Rico, The Netherlands and UAE, among others.
"We are a four-star, select service hotel, a young, vibrant brand with a business casual environment without frills. We do not have multiple restaurants, a concierge desk and spa but we have the basic amenities that a five-star has to offer," he added.
The hospitality group's subsidiaries develop, own, operate, manage and franchise hotels, resorts, branded residences and vacation ownership properties.
The brands include Hyatt, Park Hyatt, Andaz, Grand Hyatt, Hyatt Regency, Hyatt Place, Hyatt House, Hyatt Zilara, Hyatt Ziva, Hyatt Residences and Hyatt Residence Club spread across six continents.
As of September 30, 2014, the company's worldwide portfolio consisted of 573 properties in 48 countries.
