The event, launched by the Hyderabad 10K Foundation, involves a 10km run that will start at Necklace Road and go around the famous Hussainsagar lake, they said.
"Hyderabad 10K run is one of the annually held major sporting events in India where thousands gather to celebrate unity and uphold their view of a happy, healthy living in the city," leading film producer D Suresh Babu said.
The Foundation was established in 2003 under the leadership of many prominent personalities of Hyderabad with the objectives of bringing the city together irrespective of the socio-economic status of the people and to promote fitness and sports,said its Chairperson Salman Babu Khan.
