The 27-year-old model said she was twice seen for a role in the coming adaptation of the controversial EL James novel, reported Digital Spy.
"I've done some acting stuff - a couple of films and other projects. I auditioned twice for 'Fifty Shades of Grey' That was a pretty, interesting' experience," Hazell said.
The lead role of Ana Steele was won by Dakota Johnson, while Rita Ora will play Christian Grey's sister.
Hazell, who is based in LA, said she has also been writing a screenplay.
"I'm currently collaborating with a talented young female director - we wrote a series that has been taken on by a production company. It's in the super-early stages, but it's really exciting," Hazell added.
