Funnyman Russell Brand says he almost had to have one of his legs amputated when he was hooked on heroin.
The 37-year-old said he suffered such a bad gash to his leg during a crazed day in a park that doctors warned him that he might need amputation, reported Sun Online.
"I woke up in hospital and they said they would have had to have amputated it if it had gone the other way," Brand said.
The actor is said to have left his wild partying ways and is said to have maintained sobriety for over 10 years.
