Anup, the Rang De Chunariya singer, described the Bard's "Ektuku Chhoya lage" as the most intense and soulful numbers he had ever seen.
"It is height of romance. Two people feeling so close and there is hint of slight touch, or suggstions," the God-gifted devotional singer told PTI here.
"Only a Bengalee can conjure up such power of the lines and bring forth the imagery," Anup said before a performance here this evening.
Anup, who described Ustad Rashid Khan as one of the closest friends of his, said Kolkata concerts are nothing less than homecoming for him where he catches up with friends.
Anup, who started his concert with Aisa Lagi Lagan also dedicated a song to late socialil activist Anandi Lall Poddar on his 100th Birth Anniversary.
