Mariah Carey's estranged husband has laughed off reports suggesting he's stalling on signing the couple's divorce papers.
The pop diva is hoping to marry her new man, Australian businessman James Packer, later this year, but she will not be able to until her marriage to Nick Cannon - the father of the Hero hitmaker's twins - is officially over, reported Contactmusic.
The couple split in 2014 after six years of marriage but Cannon and Carey have remained close, reuniting to holiday with their five-year-old kids Monroe and Moroccan.
However, "America's Got Talent" host Cannon has been taking his time in signing papers which would make the pair's divorce final, despite being the one who originally filed court documents to end the marriage in December, 2014.
"There's nothing to tell. The media has a problem of sensationalism. Me and Mariah get along great, and it's a process. Nobody is holding nothing up. Why would I hold it up? I want her to be happy... She is such a beautiful spirit," he said.
