The court has also imposed a fine of Rs one lakh on the accused Ram Kishan Sharma and held him guilty under section 302 of the Indian Penal Court (IPC).
According to the prosecution, Rajni was strangulated to death by her husband at Basod village in Baghpat district in 2007, after she failed to bear a male child.
Sharma and Rajni were married in 1990 and had two daughters. He was posted in Delhi as a Jawan in Air Force.
