With a view to ensure timely disposal of people's grievances, Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has set up a new "feeding centre" in his office which will be supervised by an IAS officer.
"A new feeding with 50 employees has been established for registering people's problems coming through 'Janta Darbar' or from other medium. It was done on the chief minister's directive," an official spokesman said here.
He said that an IAS officer has been posted in the CM's office to monitor the progress of redressal of grievances.
The chief minister has directed that any laxity in resolving people's problem will not be tolerated and those responsible will be dealt with strictly.
Adityanath, who recently reviewed public grievance disposal, took note of poor performance and sought clarification from 10 district magistrates (DMs) including the one in the state capital.
He found that Lucknow, Hardoi, Gautam Buddh Nagar, Agra, Kanpur, Gorakhpur, Allahabad, Sitapur, Jaunpur and Kheri had performed poorly in disposal of public grievances.
The chief minister had directed the chief secretary to seek clarification from the DMs of 10 districts.
The senior superintendents of police of these districts were also be questioned for their performance.
The officials of these districts have been asked to timely dispose of public grievances else strict action will be initiated against them.
After the chief minister's meeting, all the state government departments were directed to open Twitter accounts within a week for effective communication with the people, redressal of their complaints and also to highlight their works.
