According to an official of Lokayukta Police, the clerk identified as Vinod Sen, in charge of MPHIDB Property Cell, was caught recently taking a bribe of Rs 10,000 from the complainant at his office located on AB Road.
He said the complainant had purchased a flat in a housing project of MPHIDB at Ayodhyapuri and required a NoC for registering the documents of the same.
Acting on the complaint, Lokayukta Police laid a trap and caught Sen while accepting the bribe sum, he said, adding that a case was registered under the Prevention of Corruption Act against him in this regard.
