"While the university would provide land and other needed resources for growing breeder seed, ICAR would provide technical input followed by monitoring of the growth," University Vice Chancellor A C Varsaney told PTI on Friday.
"Thus, Pandit Deen Dayal Upadhyaya Veterinary University has become the first veterinary university of the country to enter into such MoU with ICAR", said Varsaney, who signed the MoU.
Joint Director Research Dr Prabhu, in the presence of DG Dr S Ayyapan, signed the MoU for ICAR, an autonomous organisation under Ministry of Agriculture and the apex body for coordinating, guiding and managing research and education in agriculture including horticulture, fisheries and animal sciences in the country.
It would not only pave the way for increase in quality and capacity in field of Agriculture and Veterinary but would make breeder seed easily available to farmers of the area, he said.
