IGs, SPs in Raj to hold regular public grievance hearing

Senior police officials of the rank of IG and SP in Rajasthan will now conduct public grievance hearing regularly to reduce communication gap between the administration and the people.
State Home Minister Gulab Chand Kataria directed range IGs and district SPs to conduct public hearing on a regular basis from 12 noon to 1 pm so that people can approach them directly with their grievances related with the department.
The decision was taken in a meeting with senior officers, according to a release.
He also asked the officers to give more attention on monitoring investigation of heinous crimes and to take effective action against liquor, land, mining and other mafia.

The officers were also asked to put up warning boards on highways with public participation, to make people aware about road accidents.
Senior officers including ACS Home A Mukhopadhyay, DGP Manoj Bhatt were present in the meeting in which issues of law and order were discussed in detail.
