Informing this at a press meet today, IIEST Director Ajoy Roy said of the 116 institutes, the premier institute in Shibpur secured the 20th position in the Ministry of Human Resource Development (HRD) Ranking System Framework.
Elaborating on other achievements by the institute, Roy said IIEST got the eighth rank among other central institutes for the number of cutting-edge research papers submitted and approved by MHRD.
On future road map, the IIEST Director said an industry-academicia meet with CII assistance would take place on August 24 in Kolkata where President of India and key central ministers were expected to attend.
