The body of an employee of
the IISCO steel plant at Burnpur was recovered from the roof of his house at Asansol's Hirapur police station area this morning.
The police said that 55-year-old Arabinda Venkatesh Rao stayed with his 80-year-old mother.
The police quoted Rao's mother as saying that three persons visited his son last night and went to the roof of the house together.
As her son failed to come downstairs, the mother raised an alarm this morning and the maid-servant found the body on the roof with head injury and a deep cut in the cheek.
The police has sent the body for a post-mortem.
