IL&FS Engineering Services wins Rs 1,232-crore road contract

IL&FS Engineering and Construction Company Ltd said here today that it has received a National Highways Authority of India (NHAI) contract worth Rs 1,232 crore to four-lane the Patna-Gaya-Dobhi section of NH-83 in Bihar to be executed under JICA ODA loan assistance.
The project completion period is 1,095 days from commencement date, the company said, adding, that widening this national highway would boost the tourism industry there under the Buddhist circuit.
It would also provide substantial economic gains in terms of reduced vehicle operating costs and reduced travel time.
