"It is indeed a big loss. I came to meet Bedi. She is very accepting of the fact that we've lost. She is upbeat that good things will happen," she told reporters after the meeting.
She (Bedi) clearly says that the party supported her fully and got the backing of the top brass, she added.
Ilmi, a former Aam Aadmi Party leader, said that AAP's political message was very clear and hence contributed to their victory.
Ilmi, however, denied the fact that BJP was overconfident about the Delhi Assembly polls and said the party had less time in hand to prepare for the elections.
"No, since the time I have joined the party, every effort was being made since the last three weeks. But by virtue of bring a national party, BJP probably had less time to prepare for the Delhi elections because they had to focus on Maharashtra, Jharkhand, Haryana, whereas Kejriwal just had Delhi to work on.
