"The development of weaker sections of the society is receiving focused attention and equitable and inclusive development constitute important ingredients of the state's development policy," Omar said while interacting with a deputation of All J&K State Pasmanda Tabka Welfare Society at the weekly 'Awami Mulaqat' here.
He said various central and state-sponsored schemes were being implemented to uplift vulnerable sections of society.
The chief minister said special attention was being given to enhance educational status of students belonging to these sections and various welfare schemes were being implemented to ensure economic welfare of backward classes.
He said water supply sector has been flagged as one of the most important sectors of service delivery by his government.
