Bose Durairaj, who worked here as a construction worker, pleaded guilty to molesting a 19-year-old girl and wrongfully restraining by hugging her from behind, The Straits Times reported today.
The incident occurred at a staircase of an apartment block in Bedok Reservoir Road on October 4, the report said.
A district court heard that the victim and her friend were sitting at the steps of the staircase when Durairaj approached them.
When they stood up to give way to Durairaj, he hugged the victim and molested her as she struggled to set herself free from his clutches. When she managed to free herself, she punched him after which Durairaj fled, the report said.
