Indian junior paddlers advance in Belgium Open

Indian juniors put up an inspired performance to reach the quarter finals of the Belgium Junior and Cadet Open Table Tennis tournament which is a part of the ITTF World Junior Circuit.
In the junior boys' category Manush Shah beat Karlsson Filip of Sweden 13-15 11-8 12-10 5-11 12-10 11-7 in a closely contested match, while Manav Thakkar also beat another Swedish player by a 4-2 margin, according to information received here.
Archana Kamath managed to keep her nerves and get the better of her German opponent Fischer Elli 4-3 in the junior girls' category.
Archana bounced back after losing the first game to win the next two games 11-6, 11-6. With her opponent also playing equally well to take the match into the decider, Archana upped her game when it mattered to win 8-11, 11-6, 11-6, 6-11, 11-8, 9-11, 11-8.
Moumita Dutta defeated her French opponent Pauly Prost Amelie by a comfortable 4-2 margin and then went on to win her doubles match partnering Selina Selvakumar.
Results: Junior boys singles (Round of 16): Shah Manush Utpalbhai bt Karlsson Filip SWE 4-2 (13-15, 11-8, 12-10, 5-11, 12-10, 11-7); Thakkar Manav Vikash bt Nilsson Melker SWE 4-2 (11-7, 7-11, 11-2, 11-2, 6-11, 11-4).
Junior girls (Round of 16): Kamath Archana Girish bt Fischer Elli GRE 4-3 (8-11, 11-6, 11-6, 6-11, 11-8, 9-11, 11-8 ); Moumita Dutta bt Pauly Prost Amelie FRA 4-2 (11-4, 12-10, 11-8, 6-11, 7-11, 11-4); Selena Selvakumar lost to Lung Lisa BEL 1-4 (4-11, 11-7, 8-11, 4-11,7-11,).
