Indian-origin man killed in road accident in US

A 72-year-old Indian-origin man has been killed in the US in an hit-and-run accident, according to a media report.
Indrajit Sharma was hit by a pickup truck when he was walking in San Jose on Tuesday.
Sharma was pronounced dead at the scene and his identity was found yesterday, San Jose Mercury News reported.
The driver of the pickup had been captured on surveillance video from an earlier stop, and on Wednesday, the truck was located near North Capitol and Alum Rock avenues.
A few hours later, 29-year-old Pedro Cortez Bernal turned himself in to authorities.
Bernal was arrested on suspicion of felony hit and run.
