"In the special session, a brief resolution be passed, urging the Centre to get construction of the canal completed at the earliest," INLD leader Abhay Singh Chautala said.
"Our party's stand is very clear, we want our share of SYL water," said Abhay, flanked by state unit chief Ashok Arora.
Addressing a news conference, Chief Minister Bhupinder Singh Hooda said the Congress party is committed to provide due share of water to people of the state through SYL canal.
Abhay Chautala alleged the state government did not get approval from the National Capital Region Planning Board for Gurgaon's development plan and had passed on the benefit to several builders just by issuing Letters of Intent.
To this, Hooda said development plans do not need any approval from the NCR Planning Board.
Abhay took objection to Hooda chairing a meeting of his Cabinet here when the Model Code of Conduct is still in force in the state.
"The EC had ordered repoll in eight polling stations in four assembly segments falling under the Gurgaon constituency tomorrow. In the light of this, the Cabinet meeting should not have been held," he said.
