The incident, which happened yesterday, was reported by the villagers, who made a complaint to Shokin Singh Yadav, the Shiksha Adhkari. The infected meal was later thrown out for the animals.
Yadav said that the villagers had come to him with the complaint, adding that an enquiry has been made into the matter and action would be taken against the guilty persons.
In the past, villagers have made complaints of non-supply of the midday meal and supplying the midday meal in lesser quantities to school children.
Two villagers, Sukhveer and Preetam, levelled allegations that the midday meal was not being distributed as per the menu prescribed by officers.
Other villagers- Rajoo, Dharmedra, Rambharosey, Nabab singh, Chob Singh, have also made complaints in this regard.
