Intermittent rain and storm lashed several parts of Himachal Pradesh while high altitude tribal areas received mild snowfall causing fall in temperatures.
The day temperatures dropped by two to five degrees to stay at 35.2 degrees Celsius at Una in lower hills while Sundernagar and Bhuntar recorded a high of 29.6 degrees Celsius and 29.5 degrees Celsius respectively, the local Meteorological (MeT) said.
This was followed by Nahan 29.1 degrees Celsius, Palampur 27 degrees Celsius, Dharamsala 25.4 degrees Celsius, Solan 24.5 degrees Celsius, Manali 19.8 degrees Celsius, Kalpa 19.0 degrees Celsius, and Shimla 18.5 degrees Celsius, the MeT said.
Keylong in tribal Lahaul and Spiti recorded minimum temperature at 2.7 degrees Celsius while mercury dipped to 4.0 degrees Celsius and 5.0 degrees Celsius at Manali and Kalpa.
Dharamsala and Bhuntar recorded a minimum temperature of 10.0 degrees Celsius and 11 degrees Cesius, followed by Shimla 11.7 degrees Celsius, and Sundernagar 12.5 degrees Celsius.
The local MeT office has warned of rains and thunderstorm, and squall and rains and hailstorm at many places in mid and lower hills on April 9 and 10.
It has also predicted rains and thunderstorm in mid and lower hills and mid hills. Rains or snow have been predicted in hills over the next five days, upto April 12, and dry weather in the region from April 13 onwards.
