Invigilator collapses in exam hall, dies

An exam invigilator today collapsed and died in the examination hall of a school where class XII examinations were underway near Tiruchendur in the district today.
Police said the supervisor identified as Sundar, a middle-aged man, suddenly swooned and died.
The body has been shifted to Tuticorin government hospital.
Sundar was an external examination supervisor from Udangudi, officials said.
The cause of the death is yet to be ascertained, they added.
