Singh, ADGP Special Battalion, yesterday visted the residence of RSS worker Bijesh and partook food along with some other top officials after attending the Kargil Divas function in Thrissur.
CPI(M) today alleged Singh's acceptance of Bijesh's hospitality was 'improper' as he was an accused in an attempt to murder case on the life of two of its party workers in 2011.
The officer had later clarified that the minister had entered through the back side of the venue which he had failed to notice.
Though Chennithala had said he had no complaints, Chief Minister, Oommen chandy, did not take kindly to his behaviour and a show cause notice was issued on his directions by the Home department.
