Irani rolled out the programme 'Padhe Bharat Badhe Bharat' at the inauguration of a meet of State Education Secretaries, which is aimed at enabling children to become motivated, independent readers and writers with comprehension possessing and lasting skills to achieve learning levels appropriate to the class of study.
It also aims at making children understand the reasoning in the domains of number measurement and shapes and make them independent in problem solving by way of numeracy and spatial understanding skills.
The programme also aims at minimum 75 per cent attendance by children and also provide them an opportunity to develop self confidence and a positive self-image through experiences of acknowledgment.
