Two Iranian warships, carrying Naval University cadets, have docked at Colombo port as part of their overseas maritime study tour, Sri Lankan Naval officials said today.
"IRIS Kharg" and "IRIS Sabalan" are on a 5-day visit during which the ships' crews will participate in a special programme organised by the Sri Lanka Navy to enhance the mutual relations, they said.
"IRIS Sabalan", a destroyer, carries 198 personnel on board while "IRIS Kharg", a replenishment vessel, has 476 personnel on board.
