It good to have finally one win in Bangladesh: Waqar

Pakistan head coach, Waqar Younis has expressed relief at finally securing a win on the Bangladesh tour as they swept aside the hosts by 328 runs in the second Test.
"It feels good we won this test and finally got a win. Our ranking in Test cricket remains good and that is a relief. I now want concentrate on building a strong one-day squad," the former Pakistan captain said.
Pakistan by beating Bangladesh which is ranked ninth in the ICC test rankings retained its third position.
The defeat was Bangladesh's 71st in 90 Tests.
"Our performance was truly 100 percent professional in this test and I think our bowlers really exploited the conditions well," he told Pakistani media in Mirpur.

Waqar acknowledged that there was pressure on the team management after Pakistan's defeat in the one-day series and lone T20 match.

"We were aware off the criticism back home after the first Test where Bangladesh batted really well in the second innings on a slow and placid pitch. We knew it was important for Pakistan cricket to end the tour with a big win."
The former fast bowler said he was aware of what was being said about his performance and respected the opinion of critics.
"But the truth is I now try to just focus on my work and do my best and ignore what is said about me or the team."

The Chairman of the Pakistan Cricket Board, Shaharyar Khan flew to Bangladesh during the second test to meet with the players and team management and they were speculations that if Pakistan ended the tour winless heads could roll.
Khan apparently also had a separate one to one meeting with Waqar to discuss future plans.
"Our main task is now to start preparing a good one-day side it is a format we have struggled in recent times and with so many ODIs and T20s being played now we need to set things right.
