Jharkhand Chief Minister Raghuvar Das today said that the Information Technology (IT) sector will have an important role to play in providing a corruption- free transparent government in the mineral-rich state.
Das launched e-district and district level Jan Suvidha centres online from the conference hall of Information and Public Relation department at Suchana Bhawan here today.
He said that the IT sector has an important role to provide corruption-free and transparent government, which would be possible through active and effective work by the IT officials.
The Chief Minister directed the Information and Technology department to take necessary actions regarding land related cases to ensure land mutation work be done online from November 15, the foundation day of Jharkhand.
"The objective is to end the role of brokers and middlemen from district to block level," he said while directing the officials to take initiatives to provide online services in other fields as well within three months.
According to a press release issued by the Information and Pubic Relation department, Das directed the Deputy Commissioners of the state to provide all services linked to e-district online from today.
The Jan Suvidha centres, which would function as a single window system, would provide all services under one roof, the release said.
Referring to the e-district project, Das said five services including issuance of birth certificates, death certificates, residential certificates, caste certificates and income certificates would be provided online.
"People of the state can avail these online services from all Pragya and Jan Suvidha Centres within a time frame under Right to Service Act," he said.
Speaking on the occasion, Development Commissioner R S Poddar said all 24 districts and 3,000 panchayats of the state have been connected with this scheme and assured that the people would be benefited from the facility without making rounds of the offices concerned.
Secretary, Information and Technology department, Sunil Burnwal said all services under it would be provided within a time frame under Right to Service Act, 2011 and people can register complaints online, if they did not get the services within a period 21 days.
