Singapore-based IT Learning Solution (ITLS) today said it will launch a series of webinars to help upgrade skills of manpower at Data Centres in India as part of its contribution to the Digital India initiative.
"We will be running multiple webinars from July 13, with one webinar every week for four weeks in a row," ITLS chief executive officer James Furneaux said.
"India is starting to become very clearly a global outsourcing centre for data centres.
"A lot of cloud services providers are setting up operations in India because they have skilled workforce, cheap manpower and increasingly new tax and economic incentives," Furneaux told PTI.
"Digital India is a major initiative for us," he said, welcoming the initiative launched by Prime Minister Narendra Modi on July 1.
He also underlined the growth potential in the internet of things (IOTs) in India, especially supported by the massive demand expected from the planned smart cities.
ITLS has formed a partnership with TechXact and its subsidiary International Data Centre Authority (IDCA) to offer Data Centre Accreditation (DCA) Training Courses in India as well as across Asia-Pacific.
"ITLS and IDCA partnership means the enablement of this vast resource for India," said Mehdi Paryavi, President of DCA.
"The mission is to provide the right selection criteria for the data centre owners, operators and end-users when it comes to professionals designing, consulting, operating and maintaining their data centres," he said.
The mission is also to provide qualified professionals fulfilling opportunities to not only serve organisations in India better but also become an optimal pool of professionally trained IDCA-certified human resources for global enterprises, he said.
"India has been known as the cradle of IT manpower to organisations worldwide. To maintain its edge, India needs to not only realise this transformation, but to frontier it!" stressed Paryavi.
TechXact and IDCA - based in Maryland, US - provide DC IT, Ops and Systems certification programme, rated as the highest accreditation of its kind.
Techxact also has DC audit, consultancy and testing and commissioning services.
