J-K govt raises PF ceiling limit to Rs 15,000

The Jammu and Kashmir government has raised the provident fund (PF) ceiling limit from Rs 10,000 to Rs 15,000, officials today said.
"The government of Jammu and Kashmir, has made amendments in the Employees Provident Fund Scheme, 1961 by declaring the enhancement of ceiling limit of Rs 10,000 to Rs 15,000 for the subscriptions of provident fund by the subscribers", an official spokesman said.
He said the subscribers were getting benefits under EPF Scheme upto the ceiling limit of Rs 10,000 which has now been raised to Rs 15,000 with effect from December 21, 2015.
The raised limit would benefit lakhs of subscribers in the state, he said.
