Speaking at public gathering at Barjani and Swankhah in Block Parmandal, Vijaypur, the Minister for Industries and Commerce said the humiliating defeat of the opposition in the recent MLC elections had exposed their hollow claims.
He said the people had endorsed the programmes of Abdullah which are aimed at speedy development of all the three regions of the state and socio-economic transformation of its people.
Ridiculing the opposition for its false propaganda against the landmark achievements of the government, Slathia said people of the state cannot be swayed by lies.
He said PDP is unnerved with the growing popularity of coalition partners among the masses and are relying on lies and politics of deceit which cannot survive for long.
"Their sole aim is to grab power and they have least sympathy with the state's people," Slathia said.
The NC leader said many power projects had been taken up in the state to harness its 20,000 MW hydro potential.
As many as 22 degree and 50 polytechnic colleges were opened in the state for ensuring speedy socio-economic transformation of the people, he said.
Slathia inaugurated newly constructed lanes and drains in Dasal, Barjani and Swankhah and announced funds for construction of a recreation in park at Barjani and brick walling of the school.
He also announced to set-up a tube-well in the village to augment drinking water supply. He said the under construction Rs 25 lakh Panchayat Ghar will be commissioned shortly.
