The state government has decided to include any person living in Jharkhand for the last thirty or more for business, employment or any other reason and earned immovable property in the state, to be considered as a resident of the state, according to an official release here today.
All those living within the geographical boundaries of the state and have their name or their ancestors' names registered in the land survey record or recognised by the Gram Sabha concerned on the basis of language, culture and tradition, would also been considered resident of Jharkhand, it said.
Any person employed in the state government or its undertakings, their spouse and children, Union Government employees working in the state or any one born in Jharkhand and completed his/her matriculation from a recognised institution of the state would also be considered as residents of Jharkhand.
