Leading Labour MP and joint chair of the Indo-British All-Party Parliamentary Group, Virendra Sharma presented a plaque to Shroff at a special ceremony last evening.
Shroff, 56, made his acting debut in Dev Anand's movie, 'Swami Dada'.
In 1983 he appeared as the main lead in Subhash Ghai's movie 'Hero' in which he was paired with Meenakshi Sheshadri and worked with eminent senior co-stars such as Shammi Kapoor, Sanjeev Kumar and Amrish Puri.
In 1990, he won the Filmfare Best Actor Award for the film 'Parinda' and in 1995 he won the Filmfare Best supporting Actor Award for '1942 A Love Story'. He also won the Special Honour Jury Award for Outstanding contribution to Indian Cinema in 2007.
