Jaya exults over victory of six partymen in Kerala civic polls

AIADMK supermo and Tamil Nadu Chief Minister Jayalalithaa today said six of her party candidates have won in the civil polls in neighbouring Kerala and thanked the voters and party workers.
Hailing the victory as a "historic achievement" for the party, she said this came after three of her party nominees winning similarly in the recent Andaman and Nicobar Islands local body election.
Six AIADMK candidates, five of them women, have won in (panchayat wards) in civic polls in Palakkad and Idukki Districts neighbouring Tamil Nadu, she said here in a party release.
"This is yet another historic achievement of the party, my happiness knows no bounds, my hearty thanks to the voters, I laud and thank the party workers" she said.
"This victory is yet another new epoch, a forerunner to (electoral) victories that are going to be that of AIADMK... I am extremely happy that this victory is a Deepawali sweet for the AIADMK party workers," she added.
