Continuing his rich vein of form, India's Jeevan Nedunchezhiyan won his third Challenger-level doubles title of the season with partner Austin Krajicek, as they prevailed in a tense final of the Winnetka event in the USA.
The Indo-American pair lived up to its top billing by eking out a 6-7 (4) 6-4 10-5 win over second seeded Roberto Maytin and Chrtistopger Rungkat to win the the trophy at the USD 75,000 hard court tournament.
Jeevan, who had qualified for the Wimbledon but fell in the first round with Krajicek in a close finish, had partnered Indonesia's Rungkat and knew his game well.
They earned 80 ranking points, each splitting the prize money of USD 4650.
The left-handed Chennai player has emerged as a force to reckon with on the Challenger Tour and has made seven finals this season.
Before qualifying for the Wimbledon, Jeevan and Austin had won the Ilkley Challenger and ended runners-up at Nottingham.
