Jharkhand Chief Minister Raghubar Das today condoled the death of former Lok Sabha speaker Somnath Chatterjee, describing his contribution to parliamentary tradition as incomparable.
Chatterjee, 89, passed away at a private hospital in Kolkata this morning following multiple organ failure.
"The passing away of former Speaker Somnath Chatterjee has created irreparable damage to the countrys politics. His contribution to Parliamentary tradition has been incomparable," Das said in his condolence message.
Former chief minister Arjun Munda also condoled the death of Chatterjee.
