Paying 'heartfelt respect' to all teachers on Radhakrishnan's birth anniversary, Das appealed to them in imparting such education among the children that they would prove to be assets for the society as well as the nation.
The chief minister said the relation between "Guru and Shishya (teacher and student) plays crucial role in paving an individual's life.
Remembering the commitment of another former President A P J Abdul Kalam towards teaching, Das said Kalam was great inspiring force in the life of every teacher as well as every individual.
