Jharkhand couldn't progress due to pol instability: CM Das

Jharkhand Chief Minister Raghuvar Das today said the state was blessed with abundant mineral resources and efficient human resources but lagged behind on development front due to "political instability for the last 14 years."
Addressing BJP party workers meet at Madhav Sabhagar here, Das said the state having abundance of minerals and efficient human resources could not progress to expectation due to "political instability for the last 14 years caused by fractured mandate".
However, the people of the state exhibited maturity in the 2014 assembly poll and voted a majority government to power, which was committed to provide transparent and good governance to lead the state on the path of development, he said.

I am working as a trustee of the state and wanted to ensure Jharkhand to become one of the developed state in ten years, the chief minister said.
Das promised that his government will fulfill the aspiration of the people and asked the party workers to work as a bridge between the government and people.
The party workers should ensure that there should not be any distance between the government and the people to achieve desired result, he said.

Das suggested the party workers to focus on self- initiative to end corruption in the state and utilize Information Technology (IT) to expose corrupt officials.

The chief minister said a new steel plant will be set up probably in Chaibasa, Chakradharpur (both in West Singhbhum district) and Seraikela in the adjoining Seraikela-Kharswan district soon.
Mineral-rich West Singhbhum district will be developed in one year by the government and the organization, he said, adding that the government was committed to develop the Schedule Tribes.
