Jharkhand Governor Droupadi Murmu today advocated for prohibition on sale of liquor in the state.
Murmu told newsmen here that liquor had an adverse impact on the society, the economic condition of the people as well as education.
Adivasi-populated areas were the worst-affected due to liquor, she said.
Murmu, however, said the state government has to take the decision whether it wants to impose ban on sale of liquor in the state.
